To a mixture of (S)-tert-butyl 3-((8-chloro-3-cyanoisoquinolin-1-yl)amino)pyrrolidine-1-carboxylate (450 mg, 1.21 mmol) in MeOH (5 mL) was added NH2NH2—H2O (5 mL). The resulting mixture was heated to reflux for 2 hours and the solvent was subsequently removed to give the title compound as a yellow solid, which was used without further purification (450 mg, 91%).
