Procedure
Intermediate 24 was coupled with pyridine 3-carboxaldehyde following procedure E. LC-MS showed the product had the expected M+H+ of 398. 1H NMR (Varian 300 MHz, CD3OD, shifts relative to the solvent peak at 3.3 ppm) δ 8.6 (s, 1H), 8.4 (d, 1H) 8.2 (d, 1H) 7.8 (d, 1H), 7.4-7.3 (m, 3H), 7.2 (t, 1H), 7.1 (d, 2H), 6.9 (d, 2H), 6.8 (d, 1H), 6.7 (d, 1H), δ 4.4 (s, 2H), δ 3.6 (t, 2H), 2.8 (t, 2H).
