To a solution of ethyl 5-(4-(tert-butyl)-1,3-dioxolan-2-yl)-4-methylisoxazole-3-carboxylate (42 mg, 0.148 mmol) in THF (4 mL) was added potassium trimethylsilanolate (19.02 mg, 0.148 mmol) and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1.5 hours. The resulting mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure to afford the title compound.
