Procedure

To a solution of 7-(trifluoromethoxy)-1H-benzo[b]azepin-2(5H)-one (10 g, 41.1 mmol) in 1:1 EtOH:THF (150 ml) was added Pd/C (1.0 g) and the mixture was stirred at room temperature under 30 psi H2 for 3 h. The resulting mixture was filtered and concentrated under reduced pressure to give a crude solid that was recrystallized from ethyl acetate to give the title compound.
