A mixture of 3-{[1-Cyano-7-(2,6-difluoro-phenoxy)-4-hydroxy-isoquinoline-3-carbonyl]-amino}-2,2-dimethyl-propionic acid tert-butyl ester (36 mg), TFA (1 mL) and DCM (2 mL) was stirred at rt overnight; then concentrated, the residue was dissolved in water and added 2 M HCl solution, solids were collected via filtration, washed with water and air dried to give the desired product (21 mg). LC MS ESI+: 442 (M+1)+.
