A mixture of 3-{[7-(2-chloro-5-fluoro-phenoxy)-1-cyano-4-hydroxy-isoquinoline-3-carbonyl]-amino}-2,2-dimethyl-propionic acid tert-butyl ester (19 mg), TFA (1 mL) and DCM (2 mL) was stirred at rt overnight; then concentrated, the residue was dissolved in water and added 2 M HCl solution, solids were collected via filtration, washed with water and air dried to give the desired product (17 mg). LC MS ESI+: 458 (M+1)+.
