2-{[(1-Cyano-4-hydroxy-7-phenoxy-isoquinoline-3-carbonyl)-amino]-methyl}-2-methyl-butyric acid tert-butyl ester (45 mg, 0.10 mmol) was dissolved in TFA (1.7 mL) and CH2Cl2 (1.7 mL). The resulting mixture was stirred at room temperature for 2 hours. The volatiles were removed in vacuo and the residue was dissolved again in CH2Cl2 (4 mL). The volatiles were removed again in vacuo to give the title compound in 36 mg. MS: (−) m/z 418.14 (M−1).
