Prepared in 94% yield from 4-fluoro-3-methylphenol following the procedure for 2-bromo-4,5-dimethylphenol. 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) δ 7.14 (d, J=8.5 Hz, 3H), 6.86 (d, J=7.0 Hz, 3H), 5.23 (s, 3H), 2.22 (d, J=1.8 Hz, 9H).
