To a solution of (S)-tert-butyl 2-(4-(2-phenyl-2H-1,2,3-triazole-4-carboxamido)phenyl)morpholine-4-carboxylate (30 mg, 66.7 μmol, Eq: 1.00) in dioxane (2 ml) was added 4 M HCl in dioxane (250 μl, 1.00 mmol, Eq: 15). The reaction mixture was stirred at 60° C. for 48 hours. To the mixture was added 2 ml of diethyl ether and stirred for 15 min at room temperature. The mixture was filtered and concentrated in high vacuum to give the expected HCl salt as a light-yellow solid (24 mg, 93.2%). MS (ISP): 350.3 ([M+H]+).
