Procedure

To tert-butyl 3-((2R)-2-(2-(tran-4-(tert-butoxycarbonylamino)cyclohexyl)acetamido)-2-(2,9,9-trimethyl-3,5-dioxa-4-bora-tricyclo[6.1.1.02,6]dec-4-yl)ethyl)-2-methoxybenzoate from Step 1 of Example 6 (640 mg) was added 4 N HCl in dioxane (4 mL). The resultant reaction mixture was stirred at RT for 1 hr. Diethyl ether was added to precipitate out the product as while solid (500 mg) which was used directly to the next step.
