Procedure

1-(1-Benzhydryl-3-fluoroazetidin-3-yl)-N,N-dimethylmethanamine (0.6 g, 1.0 eq.) was dissolved in ethanol. Pd(OH)2 (0.6 g) was added. The reaction mixture was stirred for 14 h at room temperature under H2 atmosphere. The solids were removed by filtration and the filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure to afford 300 mg of 1-(3-fluoroazetidin-3-yl)-N,N-dimethylmethanamine (68% yield), which was used in the next step without further purification.
