Reaction Steps

1-(Azetidin-1-yl)-2-(3-nitrophenyl)ethanone (0.5 g, 2.27 mmol) was taken in methanol (20 ml) and at 0° C., Pd—C (10%, 0.05 g) was added. The reaction mixture was stirred under hydrogen atmosphere at room temperature for 5 hrs. The reaction mixture was filtered through celite and the filtrate was concentrated under vacuum to afford the title product (0.34 gm).
