Procedure
The product of part (c) was heated under reflux with tri-n-butyltin hydride (51.12 g) in toluene for 20 hours. The reaction was cooled and purified by column chromatography on silica using ethyl acetate/petroleum ether (1:4) to yield the title compound as a white solid (37.1 g), mp=138°-140° C.: found: C, 59.23; H,4.90; N, 5.28; C26 H24F6N2O3 requires C, 59.09, H, 4.96; N, 5.30%.
