Carbonyl diimidazole (35 mg, 0.21 mmol) was added to a solution of (Z)-3-cyclohexyl-N-(2,3-dihydro-2-hydroxyimino-5-phenyl-1H-1,4-benzodiazepin-3-yl)propanamide (80 mg, 0.2 mmol) in THF (15 mL) and the mixture was heated under reflux for 1 h. The solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure and the residue was triturated with ethanol (6 mL). The solid was collected and dried in vacuo to give 3-cyclohexyl-N-{1-oxo-6-phenyl-1H ,4H-[1,2,4}oxadiazolo[4,3-a][1,4]benzodiazepin-4-yl}propanamide as a solid, m.p. 226° C.
