Reaction Steps
A solution of the product of Example 1 (10.2 g) in dry methanol (30 ml) was treated with fumaric acid (4.6 g). The resulting solid was filtered and crystallised from methanol to yield 4-[2-(2-piperidinylideneamino)phenyl]morpholine fumerate as a colourless crystalline solid [m.p. 210° C. (dec)].
