Procedure
3-(3-Aminopropoxy)-N,N-dimethylbenzenemethanamine (2 g) and 3,5-dimethylpyrazole-1-carboxamidine nitrate (2.1 g) were heated at reflux in ethanol for 16 hr. The solvent was removed and the residue was washed with boiling ethyl acetate before it was crystallised from ethanol to give the title compound as a white solid (1 g) m.p. 123°-4°.
