100 mg (0.27 mmol) of N-(3-acetyl-2-fluorophenyl)-2,5-difluoro-N-(methoxymethyl)benzenesulfonamide were dissolved in 10 mL of dry THF and 100 mg (0.3 mmol) of pyridinium bromide perbromide were added. The resulting solution was heated in a microwave apparatus at 80° C. for 15 min. The solvent was then evaporated, the residue taken up with DCM and washed with 0.5 N HCl. The organic layer was then dried over Na2SO4 and evaporated to give the title compound as an oil.
