Procedure

To a solution of 1-(4-Methoxy-benzyl)-3,4-dimethyl-4-phenyl-3,4-dihydro-1H-quinazolin-2-one (1.00 g, 2.6 mmol) in trifluoroacetic acid (8 mL) and DCM (8 mL) is stirred at room temperature for 1 h. Then H2O is added and is extracted with DCM/H2O. The organic layer is concentrated and is purified by chromatography on silica gel to give product.
