(4S,5R)-tert-butyl 4-(fluoromethyl)-2,2-dimethyl-5-(4-(3-((methylsulfonyloxy)methyl)isoxazol-5-yl)phenyl)oxazolidine-3-carboxylate (200 mg, 0.413 mmol), sodium methanesulfinate (100 mg, 0.83 mmol), and 18-crown-6 (23 mg, 0.08 mmol) in acetonitrile (8 mL) are stirred at room temperature for 16 hours then the mixture is concentrated and purified by column chromatography on silica gel eluting with a gradient of ethyl acetate/heptane to afford the title compound (150 mg). m/z (Cl) 469 [M+H].
