tert-Butyl 3-methyl-1-oxo-2-(5-oxo-2,5-dihydrofuran-3-yl)-2,8-diazaspiro[4.5]decane-8-carboxylate (90 mg, 0.257 mmol) was dissolved in dichloromethane (2 mL) and treated with TFA (1 mL). After stirring at room temperature for 1.5 hours, the reaction mixture was concentrated to remove excess of the reagent and co-evaporated with dichloromethane three times to give the title compound. LC-MS (IE, m/z): 251 (M+1)+.
