Reaction Steps
A molar solution of sodium hydroxide (0.15 mL; 0.15 mmol) is added to a solution of methyl 2,2′-{oxybis[ethane-2,1-diyloxyethane-2,1-diyloxybenzene-4,1-diyl(2-methylindolizine-1,3-diyl)carbonyl(2,4-dioxo-1,4-dihydroquinazoline-6,3(2H)-diyl)]}diacetate (107 mg; 0.10 mmol) in 4 mL of NMP. The solution is stirred at ambient temperature for 24 h and then run into a hydrochloric acid solution (0.1 M). The precipitate obtained is filtered off, washed with water and dried under vacuum to give 101 mg (97%) of a yellow-orange powder.
