Procedure
Lithium hydroxide (0.05 g, 1.18 mmol) was added to a solution of 26D2 (0.12 g, 0.236 mmol) in 8 mL of ethanol-water (3:1) mixture, and the reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1 h. After the solvent was removed in vacuo, the residue was dissolved in water. The aqueous layer was acidified by addition of saturated citric acid solution until pH 2 was attained. The resulting solution was cooled to 0° C. and solids obtained were filtered off and dried under vacuum to afford the title compound (0.07 g, 59%) as a yellow solid. 1H NMR (300 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ 10.9 (s, 1H), 7.95 (m, 2H), 7.88 (d, J=8.4 Hz, 1H), 7.56 (d, J=8.1 Hz, 1H), 7.5 (m, 2H), 7.35 (t, J=8.1 Hz, 1H), 7.02 (d, J=8.0 Hz, 1H), 3.14-2.80 (m, 4H), 2.69 (d, J=18.4 Hz, 1H), 2.46-2.31 (m, 2H), 2.12 (m, 1H). ESI-MS m/z: 495 (M+H)+; HPLC purity: 99%
