Procedure

To a solution of 2-nitrobenzene-1,3-diol (5.00 g, 32.2 mmol) in MeOH (100 mL) was added Pd/C (200 mg). The mixture was stirred under a H2 atmosphere at 25° C. for 16 h, filtered, and concentrated. The crude product was used in the next step without further purification. (3.00 g, yield 75%).
