Following general procedure F, 2,4-dichloropyridine (4.0 g, 27 mmol) was reacted with (3-chlorophenyl)boronic acid (4.6 g, 30 mmol), followed by formation of the hydrochloride salt to afford the title compound (5.0 g, 71%) as a white solid. MW=260.55. 1H NMR (CDCl3, 500 MHz) δ 8.92-8.79 (m, 1H), 8.16-8.09 (m, 1H), 8.03 (s, 1H), 7.95 (s, 1H), 7.74-7.64 (m, 1H), 7.58-7.52 (m, 2H); APCI MS m/z 224 [M+H]+.
