To a solution of tert-butyl(1-(4-(7-phenyl-2-thioxo-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrido[2,3-b][1,4]oxazin-6-yl)phenyl)cyclobutyl)carbamate (20 mg, 0.04 mmol) in dry THF (1 mL) was added ethyl hydrazinecarboxylate (21 mg, 0.20 mmol) and mercuric acetate (21 mg, 0.06 mmol) under nitrogen. The reaction mixture was stirred for 2 h at room temperature, filtered on celite and concentrated to dryness under reduced pressure to give the title compound which was used without purification in the next step.
