To a solution of the compound of step 6 (72.0 mg, 129 μmol) in DCM (8 ml) was added TFA (2 ml), and the reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 2 h. The solvents were evaporated. The solid was dissolved in MOH and water and lyophilized to give the title compound in the form of the [2-(3-fluoro-2-methyl-benzyl)-5-methoxy-1-phenyl-1H-indol-3-yl]-piperazin-1-yl-methanone trifluoroacetic acid salt as a white solid. Yield: 70.0 mg.
