To 1-[4′-(3-methyl-4-phenethylsulfanylmethyl-isoxazol-5-yl)-biphenyl-4-yl]-cyclopropanecarboxylic acid ethyl ester (1.13 mmol) in MeOH and H2O was added lithium hydroxide (excess) and the reaction was stirred at 70° C. for 3 hours. After acidic workup, the crude material was purified by silica gel chromatography to give the title compound.
