A mixture of 1,1-dimethylethyl 9-(5-{5-chloro-6-[(1-methylethyl)oxy]-3-pyridinyl}-1,2,4-oxadiazol-3-yl)-2,3-dihydro-1,4-benzoxazepine-4(5H)-carboxylate (Preparation 89) (190 mg, 0.390 mmol), 4M hydrogen chloride in dioxane (1 ml, 4.00 mmol) and 1,4-dioxane (10 ml) was stirred at 60° C. overnight. The reaction mixture was cooled and a white precipitate formed. The solid was filtered off to give the product as a white solid (170 mg). MS (ES) C19H1935ClN4O3 requires 386 Found 387 [M+H]+.
