1,1-Dimethylethyl 9-(5-{3-chloro-4-[(1-methylethyl)oxy]phenyl}-1,2,4-oxadiazol-3-yl)-2,3-dihydro-1,4-benzoxazepine-4(5H)-carboxylate (Preparation 66) (320 mg, 0.658 mmol) was dissolved in 1,4-dioxane (1 ml) and treated with HCl (2 ml, 8.00 mmol) in 1,4-dioxane. The reaction mixture was left at RT for 1 hr, evaporated and then triturated with ether to give the title compound (180 mg) as a white solid. MS (ES): C20H2035ClN3O3 requires 385; found 386 [M+H]+.
