To a solution of 4-amino-N-(3,4-dimethyl-phenyl)-3-nitro-benzenesulfonamide (0.12 g) in MeOH (5 mL) was added 10% Pd/C (0.04 g). The reaction mixture was stirred overnight under H2 balloon. The mixture was filtered through a Celite pad, washed with MeOH, and concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by column chromatography (SiO2, EtOAc) to give 3,4-diamino-N-(3,4-dimethyl-phenyl)-benzene-sulfonamide.
