Procedure
To a mixture of formic acid (60 μL, 1.56 mmol) and triethylamine (186 μL, 1.33 mmol), a dichloromethane (2.0 mL) solution of 7-(trifluoromethyl)-1-benzofuran-3-one (90 mg, 0.445 mmol) produced in Example 47 (47E) was added, and chloro[(1S,2S)—N-(p-toluenesulfonyl)-1,2-diphenylethanediamine](mesitylene)ruthenium(II) (8.4 mg, 0.013 mmol) was added thereto at room temperature, and then, the resulting mixture was stirred overnight under a nitrogen atmosphere at room temperature.
