To a 12 mL reaction vial was added 1-(2-bromoethyl)-4-nitrobenzene (42 mg, 0.18 mmol), 4-(5-cyano-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-2-yl)piperazin-1-ium chloride (33 mg, 0.12 mmol) and acetonitrile (2 mL). To a stirred solution of above mixture was added N-ethyl-N-(propan-2-yl)propan-2-amine (32 mg, 0.24 mmol). The reaction was stirred at 60° C. for 5 hr, then concentrated and purified by preparative TLC to give the desired product. LC-MS (IE, m/z): 377 [M+1]+. (0.73 μm)
