To a solution of (2S,3R)-3-azido-2-(3-chloro-2-fluoro-benzylcarbamoyl)-pyrrolidine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butylester (87 mg, 0.22 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (6 mL) was added TFA at RT, and stirring was continued overnight at RT. Methanol was added to the reaction mixture and volatiles were removed under reduced pressure. The residue was taken up in MeOH and concentrated in vacuo to afford the crude title compound as a colorless wax. The product was used in the next reaction step without further purification. MS (LC/MS): 298 [M+H]+; tR (HPLC conditions b): 2.71 min.
