A solution of (2R,3S,4R)-4-acetylamino-3-fluoro-pyrrolidine-1,2-dicarboxylic acid 2-benzyl ester 1-tert-butyl ester (315 mg, 0.82 mmol) in methanol (2 mL) was hydrogenated with palladium on carbon 10% (88 mg, 0.82 mmol) overnight. The reaction mixture was filtered over glass fiber and was concentrated. The residue was used as was for the next step.
