Compound 52 was prepared from 99d (0.097 g, 0.33 mmol) as described above for 39a to give 0.020 g (0.08 mmol, 23%) of the product as a yellow solid following flash chromatography (3:17 acetone:hexanes 0.5% AcOH) and recrystallization from Et2O/hexanes. (0.020 g E; 0.015 g E starting material; 0.023 g Z methyl ester)
