Procedure
A glass microwave reaction vessel was charged with 5-(2-fluorophenyl)-3-(5-methoxypyridazin-3-yl)-1-tosyl-1H-pyrrolo[3,2-b]pyridine (16 mg, 0.034 mmol) and NaOH (0.3 mL, 0.300 mmol, 1M) in THF (1 mL). The reaction was stirred and heated in a Initiator microwave reactor (Personal Chemistry, Biotage AB, Inc., Upssala, Sweden) at 85° C. for 20 min. The mixture was diluted with water and extracted with CHCl3/iPrOH (4:1). The combined organic layers were dried, filtered and concentrated. The residue was purified with prep-TLC (eluting with 10% MeOH in DCM) to give 5-(2-fluorophenyl)-3-(5-methoxypyridazin-3-yl)-1H-pyrrolo[3,2-b]pyridine (6.0 mg, 0.019 mmol, 55.6% yield) as a light brown solid. MS (ESI, pos. ion) m/z: 321.0 (M+1); 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ ppm 12.05 (1 H, br. s.), 8.83 (2 H, s), 8.60 (1 H, s), 8.12 (1H, td, J=8.0, 1.7 Hz), 8.03 (1 H, d, J=8.6 Hz), 7.70 (1 H, dd, J=8.5, 2.1 Hz), 7.43-7.53 (1 H, m), 7.30-7.42 (2 H, m), 4.01 (3 H, s)
