Procedure
Lithium hydroxide monohydrate (141 mg, 3.44 mmol) was added to a solution of 1-[2-(2-isopropyl-5-methyl-2H-[1,2,4]triazol-3-yl)-4,5-dihydro-6-oxa-1,3a-diazabenzo[e]azulen-8-yloxy]cyclopropanecarboxylic acid methyl ester (730 mg, 1.72 mmol) in MeOH (10 mL) and water (2 mL) and the mixture was heated at 50° C. for 1 h. Volatiles were removed under reduced pressure and the pH of the resulting residue was adjusted to 4 by addition of 1N HCl. A precipitate formed which was collected by filtration and washed with water affording 1-[2-(2-Isopropyl-5-methyl-2H-[1,2,4]triazol-3-yl)-4,5-dihydro-6-oxa-1,3a-diazabenzo[e]azulen-8-yloxy]cyclopropanecarboxylic acid (570 mg, 81%). LCMS: RT 2.71 min [M+H]+ 410.2
