450 mg (0.74 mmol) of 4-{[6-(N-methoxycarbonylmethyl-quinolin-8-yl-sulphonylamino)-1-methyl-2-oxo-1,2-dihydroquinoxalin-3-yl]-methyl}benzamidine-hydrochloride are dissolved in 30 ml tetrahydrofuran and 5 ml water and after the addition of 0.3 g (2.2 mmol) of potassium carbonate, stirred for 10 minutes at ambient temperature. Then 0.07 ml (0.74 mmol) of ethyl chloroformate are added and stirred for a further 1 hour. The aqueous phase is separated off, the organic phase is dried and evaporated down.
