Procedure

To a solution of prenyl bromide (2.9 g in 10 mL dry tetrahydrofuran) at 0° C. was added 1.8 mL tetrahydrothiophene and the mixture allowed to warm to room temperature. After 22 hours, the mixture was concentrated in vacuo and the remaining starting materials removed by azeotrope with toluene to give the crude title compound as a white solid (2.2 g).
