(±)-4-(4-Chlorobenzyl)-2-(chloromethyl)perhydro-1,4-oxazepin was prepared analogously to the method for the preparation of (±)-4-benzyl-2-(chloro-methyl)perhydro-1,4-oxazepin described in K. Araki et al. J. Med. Chem. 36, 1356 (1993), using N-(4-Chlorobenzyl)-N-(3-hydroxypropyl)amine as starting material. Yield 29%.
