Using the procedure of Step A of Example 3, 3 g of the product of Step D, 6.6 g of potassium carbonate and 4.7 ml of epichlorhydrin were added in 5 stages. After a total of 48 hours at reflux, filtration was carried out. The filtrate was concentrated to dryness under reduced pressure and the residue was chromatographed as indicated in Example 2 to obtain 3.7 g of the expected product.
