(I-7, Compound of Formula I, Where R1 is [2-[5-methyl-2,4-1H,3H-pyrimidinedione-1-yl]ethyl]thio) p A] [[2-[5-Methyl-2,4-(1H,3H)-pyrimidinedione-1-yl]ethyl]thio]acetic acid methyl ester was synthesized from thymine and [[2-bromoethyl]thio]acetic acid methyl ester as described in example 6A.
