Procedure

Following General Procedure G and using acetoxymethyl-4-benzyloxy-2-fluoro-phenyl acetate (Compound 20, 0.75 g, 2.26 mmol), ethyl acetate (15 mL) and 10% palladium on carbon (0.08 g), the title compound was obtained as an oil (0.48 g, 88%). 1H-NMR (300 MHz, CDCl3): δ2.09(s, 3H), 3.62(s, 2H), 5.75(s, 2H), 6.48-6.54 (m, 2H), 7.02(d, J=8.4 Hz, 1H).
