Reaction Steps
2,7-Bisamidoacridone BR-ACO-16 (1 g, 2.1 mmol) was treated with refluxing POCl3 for 3 hr. The reaction was cooled, and anhydrous diethyl ether was added to precipitate product. Solids were filtered from solution to give the desired product JM-ACI-43 (750 mg, 72%) as a yellow solid.
