Procedure
A mixture of Example 10A (2.96 g, 11.2 mmol) and 3,4-dihydro-2H-pyran (2.04 mL, 22.4 mmol) in CH2Cl2 and was stirred at 0° C. for 10 minutes and at room temperature for 40 minutes. The reaction mixture was partitioned between CH2Cl2 and water, the organic layer dried (Na2SO4), filtered, concentrated, and purified on silica gel with 10% ethyl acetate/hexanes to provide 3.73 g (95%) of the desired compound as an yellow oil.
