Reaction Steps
tert-Pentyl 7-benzyl-3,7-diazabicyclo[3.3.1]nonane-3-carboxylate (8.67 g; from step (a) above) was dissolved in EtOH (45 mL) and hydrogenated over 5% Pd/C at 1 atm. for 10 h. The catalyst was removed by filtration and the residue was concentrated giving the sub-title compound.
