| Product | 1-Acetyl-4-(2-hydroxyethyl)piperazine | HCID 4739629 | — |
Reaction Steps
Acetic acid anhydride (5.1 g; 50 mmol) was added to a stirred solution of N-(2-hydroxyethyl)piperazine (6.5 g; 50 mmol) in DCM (5 mL). The reaction mixture was stirred until the exothermic reaction was complete. The solvent was evaporated and the residue co-evaporated with toluene. The crude sub-title compound was used without further purification.
