Procedure
A suspendion of 1-(4,5-dichloro-1-imidazolyl)methyl-2-ethoxycarbonyl-7trifluoromethylimidazo[1,2-a]quinoxalin-4(5H)-one (Example 9) (120 mg, 0.25 mmol) in hydrobromic acid (48% in water) (10 ml) was stirred at 80° C. for 6 h. The mixture was concentrated in vacuo and the residue added acetone. The title compound was isolated by filtration to yield 80 mg (61%) as a hydrobromic salt. M.p. 213°-215° C.
