Procedure
A suspension of 41.9 mg (0.1 mmol) of the Compound 23 in 10 ml of 3N hydrochloric acid aqueous solution was refluxed for 24 hours. The reaction mixture was cooled with ice, adjusted to pH 10 with a 5N aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide, and extracted with ethyl acetate. The organic layer was washed with saturated brine, dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate, and concentrated under vacuum. The residue obtained was purified by silica gel column chromatography (eluent:methanol:chloroform=1:99) to obtain 24 mg (yield: 60%) of the title compound.
