Procedure
(S)-4-[2-(Dimethyl tert-butylsilyl)oxy-3-aminopropoxy]benzimidazole (10 mg, 31 mmol) was dissolved in THF (1 mL) and the mixture cooled to 0° C. Tetrabutylammonium fluoride (1 mL, 1.0 M solution in THF) was added. The reaction stirred at this temperature for 4 hours. The reaction was quenched by addition of water. Evaporation of the aqueous layer provided the desired alcohol. NMR. MS.
